Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Are you Amish? Mennonite?

No, we are not Amish or any other kind of Mennonite, although we would have some things in common with them.

2. Do visitors have to wear head-coverings and prairie dresses?

No. We do not expect visitors to share our convictions on all points, nor do we judge them based on appearance.  We do believe and teach that modest apparel is commanded in the Scriptures (1 Tim. 2:9-10, 1 Pet. 3:3, et al).

3. What is a regular Sunday service like?

If you are looking for hip Sunday morning entertainment, you have come to the wrong place. We meet at 10AM for praise and worship in the form of acapella singing from a hymnbook followed by two or three messages from God's Word, including a message and songs for the children.  Preaching and teaching is followed by an afternoon potluck fellowship meal to which all are welcome.

4. What ministries do you have at your church that I could be involved in?

Corporately, we go door-to-door in the local neighborhood as time permits, sharing the gospel and teaching the Word to all who will listen. We also give away books and materials at a booth we setup at the annual Home School Convention of Idaho. Individually, we are involved in the lives of people in the local community, as well as on the mission field. One of our members is currently serving at Haiti Children's Home in Haiti.

5. Is there anything I should know before visiting Pilgrims For Christ?

1. Yes.  Pilgrims For Christ is currently operating without ordained leadership but we are in the process of establishing leadership.  We have a like minded church in Wisconsin that is currently giving us over site and will establish a Bibical local leadership.

2.  All are welcome no matter what back ground you may come from, if Christ has received you we will too.
